A Lot of This

I am almost done this American Painted Lady Butterfly! And I only started in May (LOL). Because this has been for "pleasure" rather than "work" (aka. my actual job, kids, commissions or markets), it gets put on the back burner until a wee bit of time or inspiration/motivation pops up. Whenever that happens, I get back into it and bang out a few more hours on it.

All in all I am going to call this about 20 hours of work. Maybe more, probably not less. I am bad at keeping track.

Being a full time mom to three energetic boys, part-time sales coordinator for a manufacturing company (all I can say is that I write a lot of emails into the salesperson abyss) makes it difficult to keep up with embroidery as much as I would like.

But whenever I do embroider, or craft, or create, it gives me a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. It is a great stress reliever and mind cleanser for me. Having a creative outlet has been a lifesaver!

I will "blog" back as I complete this beautiful lady. It kind of looks done, but I have some more detailing to do before I can call it done and finish up the backing.
